Leadership Skills Programs
Thinka’s award-winning programs are focussed on developing leadership skills and are geared toward practical application in the real world.
As part of a leadership skills program, leaders walk away with useful strategies, tools and templates to activate skills and uplift capability. Each leadership program has a particular focus – depending on the group and objectives the organisation is trying to achieve. We train all levels from graduates to frontline leaders to senior and executive groups – with the aim to build effective leaders and high performing teams.
Across Sydney, Melbourne and Australia, Thinka has refined its leadership programs over years of working with organisations in industries like construction, retail, technology, health and education. Our facilitators are skilled in working with different audiences and have expertise in training communication skills, working with a range of leadership styles, and exploring different team management styles.
Examples of Thinka’s Leadership Skills Programs
For High-Performing Team Members
Graduate Capability Program
The goal of this program is for graduates to build capability in foundational leadership and management skills and step into their roles with confidence. They develop skills in emotional intelligence, effective communication, and constructive ways to engage in mentoring relationships.
High Potentials Program
The goal of this program is to invest in high potential team members, preparing them for leadership roles, and increase talent engagement and retention. Investing in professional development is key to developing successful future leaders and preparing them for project management and people management.
Innovation Capability Program
The goal of this program is to develop innovation potential in teams by teaching them skills that build capability in ideation, collaboration and executing on actions. Continuous improvement and more radical innovation is how organisations stay current, so investing in this kind of capability program has significant advantages.
The goal of this program is for team members to do the Clifton-Strengths diagnostic to better understand themselves and others. This allows team members to approach tasks and relationships with strengths-based lens – so they can understand each other better and align expectations and outcomes.
For Frontline Leaders
Emerging Leaders Program
The goal of this intensive program is to invest in emerging and new leaders, giving them access to enriching experiences. Participants build fundamental leadership and management competencies that will set them up for a career in managing people and projects, so as to achieve business results.
People Leadership Program
The goal of this program is to work with team leaders and middle managers on key interpersonal skills in leadership like coaching and giving feedback. Facilitators work with participants to help them develop a robust leadership skillset, so they can build constructive partnerships with team members.
Inclusive Leadership Program
This goal of this program is to build inclusive leadership behaviours that support people who are excluded or under-represented in the workplace. This is a good program to uplift capability in leaders when organisations are focussing on improving diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) outcomes.
Clifton-Strengths Leadership Program
The goal of this program is to give leaders a framework for embedding a Clifton-Strengths approach in their teams. Leaders learn how to use strengths-based language to help team members enrich their relationships, and so they can have more constructive coaching and feedback conversations.
For Senior and Executive Leaders
Strategic Leadership Program
The goal of this program is to build thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills in executive leaders to drive the business forward. This program suits senior leaders who are developing their capability in strategic thinking, so they can support middle management and front line leaders to execute on business priorities.
Transformational Leadership Program
The goal of this program is to empower the executive leadership team to transform business culture by embedding values and behaviours. This program can help organisations develop leadership capability to support transformation and change management efforts, so as to establish alignment across the organisation.
Women in Leadership Program
The goal of this program is to empower women in leadership positions to challenge old stereotypes and cultivate their executive presence. This short course helps women grow the specific strengths they bring to leadership and gives them the space to challenge some of the barriers, in a supportive group environment.
Executive Leadership Course
The goal of this program is to explore the relationships in the executive leadership team and resolve any challenges. When executive leadership teams are aligned and committed to shared outcomes, they are better able to develop and execute on business strategy. This course goes to deep to remove blockers and achieve strategic alignment.
What makes a Thinka Leadership Skills Program different?
Thinka’s programs are not ‘death by PowerPoint’ and are built around strategies, case studies and practical leadership examples.
As well as being across the latest research and working with a range of Australian organisations, Thinka’s facilitation team has led in different industries and understand the challenges and competing priorities of ‘everyday leaders’.
Thinka’s facilitation team integrate practical leadership examples into every program, so participants have very real and tangible advice to draw on for growing leadership skills. Facilitators work with leaders and teams in face-to-face, virtual or hybrid programs, depending on the organisation’s needs.
What results can you expect from a Thinka Leadership Skills Program?
Thinka’s programs are award-winning and proven to build leadership skills and capability in organisations.
Depending on the organisation’s objectives, leaders who participate in a leadership skills program achieve different outcomes. Some leaders have elevated their personal brand, some have had an innovation project funded, and some have significantly improved their ability to coach and give feedback to team members.
Thinka’s capability analysis tool also gives a quantitative measure of leadership development over the course of the program. This tool can also be used as a training needs analysis for your teams, leaders and executives, to understand the key skills that would make sense for your leadership skills program.
