What’s included in this program?

PRE-WORK
(30 minutes)

Learn more

As part of pre-work, each participant completes a Strengths-related analysis that highlights what their main strengths are.
This helps to match individuals to roles and tasks that recognise their abilities.

WORKSHOP 1
(5 hours, face to face)

Learn more

A 5-hour workshop where we reflect on strengths and what they mean. We pull apart the Strengths analysis and see where team members are at.
Participants learn more about who they are as individuals and how they fit into the team. We explore the value of recognising and using strengths, rather than focusing too squarely on weaknesses. We talk about the role of the leader in this process.

WORKSHOP 2
(5 hours, face to face)

Learn more

A 5-hour workshop that looks at Emotional Intelligence (E.I.) and the power of understanding the effect of emotions on our experiences.
In this workshop, we learn that we are often emotionally ‘hijacked’ and react to situations rather than respond. We learn more about self-control, uncover blindspots and are prepared to see ‘the good, the bad and the ugly’.

FOLLOW UP
(period defined by the business, with reflection and discussion)

Learn more

As follow-up, participants use their strengths and apply strategies for self-control and improving E.I. They complete a self-reflection on this process.
In due course, they discuss what has changed, improvements or continued ‘roadblocks’ with their leader.

FAQ’s about this program

What are the practical results I’ll get from this program?

  • A better understanding of where team members’ strengths are and what tasks they’re suited to.
  • Team members who have strategies for dealing with emotions and who exercise greater self-control.
  • Team members who are more aware of their blindspots and deficiencies, and can take responsibility for them.

Can I change the structure of the program?

  • You can hone-in on specific problem areas for your team and alter the content if there are particular things you want to work on. However, we always lead with strengths to start from a place of positivity.

How can I be sure it will work?

  • We teach user-friendly strategies teams can introduce to learn how to respond rather than blindly react to situations. Leaders need to lead by example when it comes to using strengths, exercising self-control and taking responsibility.

"Using experiential activities, we are building positive behaviours and achieving win-win results. Our leaders have been encouraged to look at their own behaviours, and make changes where required. This has led to increased self-awareness, collaboration and higher performance."

Carolyne | National Learning & Development Manager | The Good Guys

"With 4 days of face to face workshops, we were able to align regional and store managers' behaviours and push for higher results. We raised the level of accountability and drove new knowledge and skills to enhance the performance of our leaders. Each Manager went back to their store with a new toolkit to take team performance to a new level. Ben was a perfect cultural partner to help us drive this positive change in our organisation."
